Restful Sleep

Proper rest is essential for good health. Throughout the night, your body makes repairs and performs important housekeeping duties. Subtle forms of sleep deprivation can impair judgment, reduce our ability to handle stress and set the stage for a variety of health problems.

  1. Get enough rest. Get seven to eight hours of restful sleep each night.

  2. Lie on your side or back. Sleep on a firm mattress that provides proper support.

  3. Support your neck. Use a high-quality pillow to cradle the curve of your neck.

  4. Take a warm bath. A soothing bath before bedtime can promote restful sleep.

  5. Avoid television. Make sure the last impression of your day is a positive one.

  6. Sleep in the dark. Even small amounts of light can disrupt your sleep cycle.

  7. Give thanks. End the day with gratitude by giving thanks for all your blessings.

Remember, laugh and the world laughs with you. Snore, and you sleep alone!

Dr. Jason Asks some important questions of interest to Irving residents - Chiropractor Irving Dr. Jason Asks...

Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Irving chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
