Introducing Irving Chiropractor Dr. Jason Black

Dr. Jason Black

I love what I do and look forward to getting to the office each day!  The fact is knowing what I now know to be the truth about health and healing in our community today there is a real need for more education.   For my team and I education is equally important to the actual care.   Our ultimate goal is to educate and inform our community about the cause of breakdown in the body and offer hope, leadership, and guidance to the families that entrust us with their lives and health futures everyday.

As many patients lives as we are blessed to be a part of, tens of thousands are missing out on what Miracles the body can perform when we actually unleash its potential, by truly identifying what is keeping the body from healing itself!  This drive and passion I carry with me each day is based on what my patients know is what we like to refer to as "The World's Best Kept Health Secret" (that Doctors do NOT do the healing).

As an avid high school wrestler, aspiring body builder, and college rugby player I knew first hand the effects of trauma.   Over 10 years of competitive wrestling, lifting weights, and aggressive dieting while competing really took a toll on my body: chemically, emotionally, and certainly physically.   In my 2nd year of college I was looking to find a career, perhaps even a calling that matched my deep love and awe for the body.  A profession that at its core taught recognizing its beauty, in-born ability of the patient to heal themselves, acknowledged the awesome resilience, and involved lifestyle coaching as part of the approach to a patients care plan.  After looking into traditional medicine, osteopathic medicine, and naturopathic medicine/homeopathics as possible choices I almost "accidentally stumbled into" an office of the local family chiropractor.   His office was the perfect fit for me: The science, philosophy, and art of patient care was exactly what I hoped my prior medical career search had fulfilled.   It was a blessing to find that office, since that moment I was driven to help others know the truth about health, healing, and the role of the Nervous System in Healing.  To this day I can't explain how or why I picked that office to visit to explore chiropractic, but it reminds me that for the dozens of students who visit my office each year and the thousands of patients who entrust me with their care, that first visit and report are so important.  I thank God everyday for chiropractic and the blessings I am able to be a part of.

I choose the best education in chiropractic, leaving Northern Virgina & Tennessee undergrad roots and moved to Dallas Texas to complete my doctorate training.  As much as I learned in chiropractic school I have learned much more from my patients and really being blessed to see healing happen in front of my eyes each day.  The created body is such an inspiration!

In our practice treatment begins for many of our patients a few days following birth or for others early childhood, teens, the forth-somethings, we have had several patients begin care well into their eighties; proving that health is a journey not a destination, it is never too early, nor too late to begin building better health!

Simply put Dr. Black's focus despite the exact method of treatment is to remove interference from the spine restoring the potential for true wellness.  There are special tools, tables, and procedures that allow the tiniest newborn to receive precise care as well as 9 month pregnant women, patients with prior surgeries, even those patients who have been told that no hope or help is available.  We do not accept every case, but the patients who do qualify for care have exceptional results.  Regardless of how the adjustment is delivered the intent is always the same, the specific adjustment has the goal of taking the pressures off the delicate nerves controlling the entire human body.  Treatment options are discussed with patients and their families following the report of findings with Dr. Black.

My wife, kids, and I are all regularly adjusted.  I helped deliver all four children and adjusted them all within minutes of delivery.   The benefits have been many-fold, no ear infections, drugs, or sick days from school.  Accident?  No, we practice what we preach.   Our family exercises, eats healthy most of the time, and pray together.   For myself, my wife and children NOT being adjusted is weird.  I am not addicted, but convinced that the healthiest family's on the planet are under regular Chiropractic care.  My twin brother and I were sick all the time growing up, it seemed antibiotic, and OTC medications were given to us on a quarterly or sometimes monthly basis.   I know my parents did the best they knew how to, sparing no expense, the best hospitals, best doctors they knew of.  They did not know chiropractic, I am certain seeing my children, the hundreds of children we see here in our office, and my like-minded colleagues around the world agree; chiropractic is not optional nor just for back pain.  It is for expressing your God given health potential, for my family and I this is a lifetime commitment.

Dr. Jason Asks some important questions of interest to Irving residents - Chiropractor Irving Dr. Jason Asks...

How could a child benefit from chiropractic?
Regardless of our age, each of us in Irving encounters physical, chemical and emotional stresses that exceed our ability to handle. For newborns, it could be the trauma encountered at birth. For toddlers it could be from learning to walk or ride a bike. Many of the problems we chiropractors see in adults are the result of neglected traumas from childhood.
Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
